Filler

The post on Long Term Prep is about half done, and someday I'll finish my Holster Making series. For now, a philosophical question.

People that get really excited about plug-in electric cars tend to be against (in no special order)- coal, oil drilling, natural gas extraction, nuclear power plants, and hydroelectric dams. The question is, are they underinformed or just stupid?

I'll leave you to ponder that.

  1. Nuclear power is one point I solidly join leftist enviro quacks on. I am not against the concept but I just don't agree with producing such a dangerous by product as spent nuclear waste and no way to dispose of it. Until they find a way to safely dispose of it with no human intervention ever needed the technology is not complete.

They can say it is safe all they want but if the plant is left down for good or abandoned for whatever reason the reaction occurs. I just don't call that safe.

    1. I'll certainly give you the point on the waste stream issues- there's a lot of by-product being produced with absolutely no confidence it can be neutralized, and turning on a machine you can't turn off is not really a very good idea. Probably we should recycle it into the sun, but that's neither here nor there, I guess.
